The 2023/2024 edition of the Portuguese School Newspaper Competition is open for applications until 31 May.
According to Público, “newspapers from all schools or educational organizational units (from the mainland, autonomous regions and Portuguese communities abroad) that submits at least two editions of the current academic year or online publications with regular updates can participate in the competition”.
In total, the prizes amount to 10,000 euros. This edition, in addition to selecting the best newspapers from the two best schools/classes, or from educational organizational units, also includes seven special awards.
The competition is organised by the project Público na Escola, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation.
