“Tell me about Freedom” debate and award ceremony for the national contest “Conta-me o 25 de abril”

On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution, the bYou project and MILObs Observatory will discuss the topic of freedom with six young people from different parts of the country. In addition to the debate, the session organised as part of the “Conta-me o 25 de Abril” national contest will award the six winners with the respective prizes, chosen among 129 submissions of sound and video productions.

The event will take place on April 24th at the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library (Braga), with free admission. The session begins at 2:30 pm with staged readings led by final year students of Communication Sciences from the University of Minho. After the presentation, the event program includes a debate entitled “Tell me about freedom” with the participation of Ana B. Pereira and Catarina Costa (students at Vitorino Nemésio Secondary School, Terceira Island), Diogo Silva (student at Escola Secundária Carlos Amarante, Braga), Gabriel Antão and Rodrigo Moço (from Escola Básica da Branca, in Albergaria-a-Velha), and Sofia Vieira de Araújo (student at Escola Secundária de Ponte de Lima). The debate will be moderated by Letícia Oliveira, degree in Communication Sciences, at UMinho.

During the closing ceremony of the event, prizes will be awarded. The Gift Cars are made available by Sonae Sierra, the entity that supports the contest.
