Sara Pereira and Daniel Brandão, researchers of the bYou Project, attended the IV Conferencia Internacional en Comunicación y Tecnologías Aplicadas (IV International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies) which took place at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in the city of Lima (Peru) between September 4th and 6th, 2024.
The titles of the presentations were “Young voices: exploring freedom of expression among children and young people in Portugal” and “Narratives of freedom: analysis of the productions of the ‘Conta-me o 25 de Abril’ contest”. The presentations centres on data extracted from focus groups organized during the initial stage of the bYou project, and on video and audio productions sent by children and youth who participated in the contest entitled “Conta-me o 25 de Abril” (Tell me about April 25th) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution.
