The bYou team listened to 390 children and young people in focus groups

Open doors, welcoming teachers and receptive and participatory students. This was the environment that the bYou team found in the eight school clusters from five territorial units (NUTS II) in mainland Portugal where they conducted 59 focus groups. A total of 24 classes were involved, with a total of 390 children and young people between 11 and 18 years old: 127 students in 6th grade, 136 in 9th grade, and 127 in 12th grade.

This process of discussing and listening to children and young people resulted in a rich and dense set of information, which will be subject to rigorous analysis in order to obtain data for scientific publication, but also for the development of recommendations that can inform public policies related to children and young people.
