Young people in Portugal today

Launched in November 2021 by the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, the book Os jovens em Portugal, hoje: Quem são, que hábitos têm, o que pensam e o que sentem  (Young people in Portugal today: who they are, what habits they have, what they think, and what they feel)

highlights the most important findings of the work carried out with 4904 young residents in Portugal in the 15 to 34 age bracket. Although the age limits considered exclude young people under the age of 15 and extend into adulthood, it is an unavoidable study to deepen the knowledge of the juvenile population that, in principle, attends secondary school. It is complemented by a set of infographics that help to synthesize the information and is a very useful tool for discussing, with high school students, a wide range of topics that concern them – leisure time, social networks, sports, family, body, sexuality, friends, violence, civic participation …
